Don't Expose Spies

If you been paying attention to politics lately there is a big scandal about the women pictured to the left, Valerie Plame. She's a big time undercover CIA agent and a White House aid supposedly blew her deep cover. I'm not sure if she's in deep cover in this picture with here well-know husband. Picture provided by CNN.

What kind of maniac would expose a spy like the women in this picture on the right provided by the photo shoot she did with Vanity Fair. I mean what kind of danger would that put her in? I mean she's in deep, deep, cover and shouldn't be put to a high profile.

I mean spies are meant to be unknown and pictures of them shouldn't be thrown around haphazerdly.

Let me try to explain this in comic book terms, not because this will put it into a format you can understand. Rather, these are the methaphors that *I* use to understand the complex workings of high-stakes political power brokers. I have to interpret it like superhero comics.

Calling Karl Rove a "whitehouse aide" is like calling Superman a boy-scout. Actually it's more like calling Desaad a "questioner", but I'm trying not to alienate your audience who might not recognize the name of Darkseid's Torturer or Darkseid for that matter. My statement was meant more as a power comparison than an attempt to attribute any "goodness" to Rove which of course I would never do.

As for Valerie Plame, posing for pictures is EXACTLY what she should be doing! Don't think James Bond... think Bruce Wayne! She is SUPPOSED to be known as a socialite and the wife of a big shot. This helps her cover in the same way as Bruce buying a hotel so his models can swim in the pool during dinner in Batman Begins.

Man I loved Scott McClellan's Press Briefing. Where did all those ACTUAL REPORTERS ASKING TOUGH QUESTIONS COME FROM? Earth-2?

Actually Karl probably matches closer to Supergirl than Superman. Just a side-kick of the top dog, not the top dog himself.
And Valerie Plame is more like Batman who revealed her identity of Bruce Wayne to her husband and Vanity Fair and CNN.
They were tough questions where were they with the Clinton "We Can't Comment on Ongoing Investigations" administration?
Once again, they are all the same. But you definitely seem to favor certain politicians ;)

Karl is no side-kick! He's the Brainiac bursting out of Lex Luthor-Bush's chest as per last week's episode of Justice League Unlimited! One might think Lex is the top-dog, but then you wonder where his superpowers come from? "How the heck can Lex bash the Question through a wall like that!?" Same thing with Rove and Bush!

(It's time consuming to read up on all the facts supporting this, so save some time and see the movie Bush's Brain.)

Plame didn't reveal her identity on CNN or Vanity Fair! How does looking like a trophy wife of an Ambassador reveal you work for the CIA? That's like saying because Martian Manhunter got his picture on the front page of the Daily Planet when he is in his John Jones Detective guise arresting some criminal that he has revealed he's a Martian and Justice Leager. No, he has in fact reinforced his cover.

And by the way, (1) Clinton was GRILLED by the press!, (2) Clinton GRILLED by the THE GOVERNMENT! (special prosecutor Kenneth Star and the frickin' BOOK ABOUT CLINTON'S CIGAR HABIT), (3) CLINTON WAS IMPEACHED!! The man was as big a frat-rat old-boys-club corporate supporter and liar as Bush. You think I'm biased? Hm, I do lean progressive, yes. But if you are trying to say that Clinton got a pass from the press and Bush doesn't, ME DON'T THINK YOU AM FROM BIZARRO UNIVERSE!

Maintaining cover critical for espionage

Well, Duh! Thanks for telling us. Why is it that this seems so obvious to the rest of us and "news" to those who should know it better than most?

You said it best, days before the rest of the media. Well done, sir. Well done.
